Hi!
Our August meeting of the East Bay Patriots will be on August 22nd at the Rogers Free Library, starting at 7:00pm. Our topic will be “How to protect your family in case of a food shortage”. It will be a round-table style discussion and we have several members who are coming to share their expertise and experience. Among them are:
Jim Costa (Rep. Costa’s husband) who has an amazing vegetable and herb garden and will share tips and recipes
Dean and Wendy Fachon from East Greenwich with tips on food prep and storage
Mike Martel from Bristol with info on smoking and preserving fish
We will also have information from several companies that provide dehydrated and freeze-dried products (said to last 30 years!!) and are available for sale. Samples too!
Please bring whatever information you have to share to this meeting. It is going to be very informative!
Second, I will be on Helen Glover’s show on August 24th at 8:30 with Catherine Englebrecht, founder of TruetheVote. She will be calling in from Texas. She will answer any questions that you might have on the TruetheVote process. TrutheVote is dedicated to restoring honor and integrity to our elections.... and we can use that here in RI!!! If you haven’t signed up already, please go to TruetheVote.org and click on Volunteer. Please be sure to reference Marina Peterson in the Comments section so that they can group us all together. Their original software was designed for Texas only and searches by County. They had no idea this was going to go national and they are in the process of reprogramming.
You will be amazed at the information that is available to us to vet our voting rolls and how effective it is. We will need a team leader for each county and as many volunteers as possible. This is an excellent way for those of us who can’t get out and about as much but want to help from home!
Please call me if you have any questions. 401 253 3383
Take care... marina
